Comedy, food and music for Dad at River Park
Being a Dad is no joke. A great dad must be able to balance working hard for his family while still making time to bond with his children. Funnyman Alex Calleja takes the stage with his comedy act on June 17, 6 p.m., at River Park. Best known for being part of the popular radio show Boys Night Out’s line-up, Calleja is one of the most successful stand-up comedians in the country, after having performed extensively here and abroad. His comedy style takes inspiration from his daily experiences mixed with comedic neurosis.
Dads are also in for a musical treat with two rising stars taking the stage at the same event. Simply Jean is set to serenade dads with her acoustic takes on top hits. Meanwhile, Redemption Band is ready to rock the stage at the same event.
The show is the perfect way to cap off a pre-Father’s Day dinner at one of River Park’s unique dining concepts: modern dampa-style restaurant, French grocery and bistro L’Épicerie Gourmande, entertainment and dining hub RED, ramen house Asahikawa Bangaichi Ramen, Vietnamese noodle restaurant Pho Hoa, and gastro-pub Chef’s Barrel.
